Hello, I'm Jon Byrne, your new Labour Candidate for Manor in next year's Local Elections. I've proudly called Stockport home for 20 years, living right in the heart of our ward with my Wife and two boys.

I work for a local company and my children attend Banks Lane and Stockport School, at which I am a governor.

As a Manor resident, I understand what makes our area special and where we can do better. The Manor Labour team and I hit the streets for regular litter picks because action speaks louder than words.

We all know Woodbank Memorial Park and Vernon Park are gems, but they've been neglected for far too long. I'll team up with our current Labour Councillors to fast-track improvements, starting with the playgrounds at Woodlands and Woodbank.

Anti-social behaviour is a blight on our community, and I will work with the police to help reduce its impact on our community, however, I understand that police action is only part of the solution, therefore, I will work with community groups, schools and the council to implement changes which will make a difference.

Affordable housing is a priority. I'll push for more options, not just in the town centre, but across the borough, complete with the essential facilities we all need.

I'm here for you, no matter your political stance. Reach out using the details on this website.

Come May, I hope you'll support me in making Manor better for everyone. Let's tackle inequalities, boost safety, nurture our environment, and invest in our facilities together.
