My ADSL has been down for 22 days as of yesterday as I had a new phone line installed into my property. As this was a brand new line I had to have the ADSL activated and due to some bizarre systems used by BT this takes up to 21 days. I received a letter from TalkTalk informing me that the line would be active on the 5th Jan 2010, however on the 4th I got a call from the CEO’s office informing me it would be active on the 15th Jan 2010. Strange I thought and questioned it but it was confirmed it would be the 15th, to which I was not happy but was told there was nothing they could do.
On the 4th later that day a shiney new D-Link DSL-2640R router was delivered to my house with another letter confirming the date of the 5th Jan. Despite dire warnings against it I plug the router in and left it there in the hope that the letters not the CEO’s office where right.
By midnight on the 5th I still had no sync so on the morning of the 6th I typed up an email to TalkTalks CEO’s Office with a complaint, however the email kept bouncing and all the lines where unanswered, so I gave up for the day. However to my joy at 10pm on the 06/01/10 the router synced and after some playing went online.
Happy days
Here are some stats as of now, now bad but I want them better as I can almost see the exchange from my house.
