Another sunny Saturday and another doorstep surgery.
Today we spoke to residents of Broadway, Moreton Lane, Hillcrest, Marple Road and the various walks and avenues.
Residents raised issues such as speeding, roadworks, road safety, pedestrian crossings and parking.
Lack of affordable housing was also raised a number of times, along with ensuring we protect the small pockets of green space within our more densely populated areas.
As your councillors we have formally requested that Moreton Lane Sports Field is protected as a greenspace in the upcoming local plan, we have also secured the Broadway/Knypersley area on this year’s funding for 20mph Zones. This will enable it to undergo a full consultation in which residents will be able to have their say.
