For the last two years I have been attempting to get more regular collections for our bins in the parks during warmer weather and busy days in the park.

Whilst I can often get extra collections these are ad-hoc and leave people looking to enjoy our park having to walk past monstrosities like this.

I am currently chasing an update on increasing the size of the bins in the park as if they cannot be emptied more often, then we will have to make them bigger.

I have also proposed a full bin reporting system I have seen elsewhere in the country which could help manage demand.

I have never seen the bins in Marple like this 🤔

I'll keep working to get this change through but please in the meantime try and use another bin if the first one is full or take your litter home.
