It's not all bins this week!

It's not all bins this week!

It's been a busy week of casework, supporting residents and working to improve our area.

A lot of it comes from my daily runs and walks around the ward. You spot things you'd never notice from a car, and plenty of it turns into casework. Sometimes it's the small things, like making sure bins such as this one get repaired or replaced to keep our streets looking good.

I've also been helping individual residents with parking, housing and environmental health issues, among plenty of others.

I've been in discussions about finishing off the play area at Woodbank too, including the installation of new picnic benches.

On Monday I attended the council's Constitution Working Party, where we discussed changes to the planning process to make sure decisions are made on policy, not on vibes. These changes are being brought in so we can deliver decent, affordable homes across our borough.

Next week is scrutiny week, with some important reports up for discussion. It's our opportunity to hold the administration to account and shape policy.

Have a good bank holiday weekend.
