Last week I highlighted the issue of the Avanti ticket machines not offering passengers the best value fare upfront to Navendu Mishra. I thank him for taking up this issue which is undoubtedly costing Stockport residents money.

The benefits of the investment we as a city region put into our public transport system should be available to everyone easily, not buried in a complex menu. We are now months away from Bee Network Rail starting so getting these things right is important.

This issue also shows the importance of our station staff who will always ensure you get the best value amongst all the other essential activities they perform.
