Laura and I spent the afternoon with the Banks Lane Junior's School Council, we joined them on a trip to Woodbank Memorial Park where we met officers from the council.

The young people gave us some feedback on the new equipment at the park and also told us what they would like to see next. Whilst I am not sure we can deliver a swimming pool we will look at what we can do to provide some of the thoughtful ideas.

Part of today's process was to look at the seating at the park, the young people were tasked with finding appropriate locations for picnic benches and standard benches. They made these decisions and they will be installed very soon.

Finally an important part of today was to hear about the nature that they love in the park, they all loved the way the park offers leisure space whilst at the same time provides space for insects, animals and plants.

We are grateful for the team at the school for supporting this and those officers from the council who arranged and ran the sessions.

Laura and I always want people to be involved in the decisions that affect them, this was a perfect opportunity.

Look out for the new seating soon.

Laura & Jon
