💔 Stockport Labour proposed a motion at Full Council to provide 100% council tax relief for this with a terminal diagnosis in the last 12 months of their life. Further details to follow.
🛝 After pressure from a local campaign group and myself the council has now stopped spraying children's play areas with Glyphosate. The work continues on other uses.
🏫 The scrutiny review I recommended on the councils relationship with Multi Academy Trusts to ensure that all of our children get the best start in life has been accepted and will be taking place this civic year.
📃 I chaired the first Audit Committee of the year, this is an important committee where we look at the internal controls within the council to ensure all of the relevant processes are followed. This covers every function of the council so incredibly in-depth but vital.
🌹 Apparently we are going to have a new Prime Minister on Monday, that might have slipped your notice. One of Andy's last public engagements as Mayor was here in Manor at Webb Lane Allotments at which he met children from Banks Lane and representatives of all the groups that work there. He also met the fantastic allotment team.
As always please get in touch with any case work.
Thank you
