Issues such as speeding, community cohesion, green spaces, access to housing and parking were amongst the issues raised.

This morning Councillor Sue Glithero, Manor Ward, Councillor Laura Clingan, Manor Ward and I were joined by Callum and Councillor Fitzpatrick as we spoke to residents around Windermere and Patterdale.
Issues such as speeding, community cohesion, green spaces, access to housing and parking were amongst the issues raised.
This Thursday Cllr. Helen Hibbert, Offerton Ward and I proposed a motion at Full Council which was unanimously agreed. This is to refocus the council on road safety to ensure all of our roads are safe for everyone. In the last 12 months almost 100 people were killed or seriously injured on our roads in Stockport, this is not something we can sit by and allow to continue. Working with the police, TFGM and the council we now hope to start seeing that number reduce.
