We know here in Stockport how tough a job the Waste Collection Teams have and along with many in the public and private sectors have had years of real terms pay cuts. Down in Birmingham these proposals look to cut £8,000 of some workers annual salary, these are skilled and experienced workers performing essential safety roles. This isn't greed but a defence of the existing situation.

I added my name to the signatories as once again the money is being taken from the worker and dressed up as efficiency, whilst during these strike the council are spending millions with private agencies.

The money disappears up, not down.
