What a week!
Whilst Manor and Stockport are always the focus of my efforts, taking that fight and joining campaigns to make all of our lives better and fairer are an important part of representation.
This week started at the Labour Party Conference where I spoke about the housing crisis here in Stockport and that the solution can only come from council house building.
I also joined friends from the Dad Shift campaign who are campaigning for better paternity leave and friends with Labour Walk Cycles about how we can improve people's journeys around our towns and cities.
Back in Stockport Wednesday to chair the Audit Committee. We covered a wide range of topics but EHCPs really came out as an area of concern, I have asked that we do a deep dive on this to see what the reality of the situation is.
Thursday night was Full Council which I will update on shortly.
This weekend as usual we have been keeping in touch with residents.
