This Sunday is Stockport Pride, not only is it an opportunity to celebrate the true you or to show that you are an ally, but it is also a reminder that hard won rights need to be defended.
Holding the bosses of utility companies to account for the performance of their companies is an important step towards improving the service they provide to our community. Vital services like this should not be run for profit, but whilst they are the bosses should take responsibility not just profits.
Thank Navendu Mishra for continuing to fight for all of Stockport. The current policy of the council is not good enough, but these new powers remove some of those barriers and excuses to prosecute those who treat our area with such disdain.
